Dynamite Frenzied Hemp Seed

Dynamite's 'Frenzied Hemp Seed' product promises to do just what other hemp seed baits do, but better. Hemp seed is growing in popularity worldwide as a groundbait and hookbait, and its versatility and potency really makes it stand out. Some people swear by it for their big catches, others don't really rate it. No one is really sure why it works, either, but that's not going to stop us from using it if it works, is it?

Isn't it just normal hemp seed?

The thing about hemp seed is that the preparation is a little fiddly, and if you're off out on an excursion without having prepared some seed then usually you're not going to bother. Even if you do have time to prepare overnight, getting it right is not always guaranteed. The idea here is that if you're going to by hemp seed, then you may as well buy Frenzied Hemp Seed. It's going to be a little more pricey than the raw stuff, but if you don't have the time or inclination to prepare it, then that extra is more than worth it.

Why is it 'Frenzied' hemp seed? We don't know. Maybe it's because it sends the fish into a hook-biting frenzy, or maybe it's just a marketing ploy. Who knows?

What is it good for?

Well, the powers of hemp seed are largely unexplained. But it is possible that it's not just the taste of the seed that the fish like - they're not necessarily taking the food entirely on its merits. It is guessed that the hemp has drug-like effects on them and either makes them addicted to the hemp seed, or makes them inordinately hungry for food in general, which is why they're so interested in gobbling up the remainder of the seed. Hopefully including the one on your hook. In essence it can hold fish without overfeeding (or, they may be overfeeding but they don't care. Either way, we're happy).

Dynamite claims that its frenzied hemp seed is perfect holding bait for all fish, but reports mention Carp, Barbel, Chub, Bream and Tench as being prime targets.

Coming in a ring-pulled time, it's easily transported and deployed. You can mix it with other groundbaits easily, and there's no messing like with raw hemp seed.
